We were approached by Ron & Chris who had half a rear deck covered. They had a beautiful set of doors which opened out onto the deck, however with the westerly aspect it was unusable due to the sun.

The clients also approached ‘Vergola’, however after careful consideration they proceeded with us due to the unique aluminium louvers, which gave them confidence due to their coastal location.

The louvers run north/south which gives them flexibility to maximise the sun or create shade when desired. The addition of the bulkhead through the middle visually separates each bank of louvers but also gives them the added ability to use the area in the evening or through winter with the ‘Heatstrip’ external heater.

Specifications:

  • 250 x 50mm powder coated aluminium frame “Woodland Grey” in colour

  • ‘Heatstrip’ 2400W, flush mounted within internal bulkhead
  • Stainless steel down lights mounted within the bulkhead
  • Internal switch plate & remote control operation

I had to include below the testimonial we received from the clients!

Hi Adrian, just a short note to let you know how pleased we are with our eclipse opening roof. We thought it would improve our outdoor area but no where near the extra benefit we have experienced over the last six months.  The way we can control the light is great and one of our fears was that it would make our family room darker which hasn’t happened. Since installation, we have had many heavy downpours and the roof has remained 100% water tight. When you came out to quote we had our ideas on what we wanted but your input into the end design was very rewarding as we ended up with a roof we are totally happy with. Dealing with yourself and Jeff was a pleasure and the workmanship faultless (and Ron is pretty fussy!).
Thanks once again and we would have no hesitation recommending your company to others.

Regards,
Chris Dunlop
